I Can't Do IWSG Today

It's been a very tough few weeks, so when I saw the IWSG email come through I had a feeling things would be going on as usual. Just know your black writer friends probably aren't okay. If you haven't already, please support them by speaking out against police brutality, and that includes violence by police during peaceful protests. If you are silent, you are complicit.

The violence has to end.

As a white Canadian, it's been a very difficult few weeks - can't even imagine what it's like for American people of colour. I've made donations and have been doing research and reading to learn to be a better friend and ally. Sending hugs your way and hopes that the world starts making forward steps. Take care of you and yours

Hi,
I wasn't silent but I have to say that some of the things that I saw were very disturbing. The looting and destruction had no place in a peaceful protext.

The protests were peaceful until police started attacking, and then outsiders incited the rioting. Protests are still happening, but all people want to focus on are the riots. We can't win no matter what we do.
